Dr. Spencer Wells is a geneticist, anthropologist and professor at the University of Texas at Austin. The former director of the National Geographic Genographic Project, his work tracing human migration through DNA brought public awareness to genetic ancestry testing. Wells has written several books including “The Journey of Man,” and his research has taken him to over 100 countries. A pioneer in personal genomics, he helped usher in the era of consumer DNA testing.
