Dr. Nancy Andreasen is a neuroscientist and psychiatrist who currently holds the Andrew H. Woods Chair of Psychiatry at the Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa. Her groundbreaking work has transformed our understanding of mental illness and creativity. A former editor-in-chief of “The American Journal of Psychiatry,” Andreasen was one of the first to apply neuroimaging techniques to study schizophrenia. She is also known for her research on the brain and creativity, exploring how artistic and scientific minds function. Her books include “The Creating Brain” and “Brave New Brain.”
